About

‘ritornanti’ (homecomers) is a political education project to de-professionalise/de-pacify middle class activists and collectivise the money within our networks with anti-colonial working class organisers and movements, so as to strengthen their fighting capacity and care networks.

‘ritornanti’ seeks to challenge any notion within the radical middle class that nonprofits and universities can be ‘a home’ for revolutionary activity, and instead understands that these are ruling class containers designed to redirect movement activity before it becomes insurgent.

‘ritornanti’ asks radical middle class people to see our ‘home’ as working with and learning from the multi-racial working classes on a face-to-face level, as their comrades, not as their de facto ‘managers,’ ‘social workers,’ or ‘teachers.’ and to struggle against our socialisation into state-‘friendliness,’ entitlement, narcissistic guilt, and indifference, choosing instead to become revolutionaries.

its 1st project, out now, is the zine ‘good cop radicals:’ how the university & nonprofits make counterinsurgents out of middle class leftists.

‘ritornanti’ is italian anarchist/former political prisoner alfredo bonanno’s term for dominant class radicals who have ‘returned home’ to the excluded classes.
